Taxes are collected on the following schedule for the year that ended on September 30 of the prior year:

October 1st

Taxes become due. Payments made any time before December 31 are on time.(Payments postmarked by December 31 are accepted as on time).

January 1st

Taxes are delinquent.

Notices are mailed. Interest and late fees are added.

03

March 1st

Notice of Tax Lien Auction mailed to delinquent property owners. Delinquent list advertised on website.

04

April 19th

Tan lien auction held on line at govease.com beginning at 10:00 am.

How To Pay Your Taxes

By Mail

You may pay by mail with check or money order to:

In Person

You may come to the Revenue Commissioner's Office, located in the Butler County Courthouse in Greenville, and make payment in person by cash, check, money order, VISA or Mastercard.



Online

The online option gives you the opportunity to pay your taxes securely using either your PayPal account, credit or debit card. A 2.2% convenience fee + $.30 transaction fee will be applied. This is not a fee charged by the Revenue Commissioner's Office, it is charged by PayPal as a convenience fee.
